These fee guidelines concern the determination of fees and invoicing between a lawyer or his/her firm and the client. The fee charged by a lawyer is determined according to an agreement between the lawyer and the client based on these guidelines. In addition to these guidelines, the legal provisions on the matter shall be taken into account in determining a lawyer’s fee.

The Fee Guidelines of the Finnish Bar Association were adopted by the Delegation of the Finnish Bar Association on 15 January 2009 and came into effect on 1 April 2009.
